Shiva Sander Tavallaey received a MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 from Chalmers University of Technology (CTH) and a PhD in Sound and Vibration/Technical Acoustics in 2000 from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. In January 2001, she joined ABB Corporate Research in Västerås, Sweden. During her time at ABB, she has served both in managerial (team manger- 9 years) as well as specialist positions. Currently as Senior Principal Scientist in Applied Analytics she is affiliated as AI-Lead and coordinates AI-related activities within ABB Sweden. Since 2015, she is holding an Adjunct Professor position at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in the Department of Engineering Mechanics, at the Marcus Wallenberg Laboratory for Sound and Vibration.
