Roberta Turra is Head of the Data Analytics team at the HPC department in Cineca. The group supports research and innovation by assisting HPC users in the development and optimization of Machine Learning applications. She graduated in Economic Statistics at the University of Bologna in 1991 and has been working at Cineca since 1994 as a data scientist, developing data mining applications for retail, insurance and telecommunication companies and modelling fraudulent behaviour for the Italian Revenue Agency. She developed information extraction and semantic annotation tools for the analysis of textual documents in different languages and in different application domains. She participated to several National and European funded research projects. She is currently involved in the EUHubs4Data and the Graph Massivizer projects.
