Dr. Rizkallah Touma has 7+ years of hybrid experience in research institutions and the private sector in the Big Data and Data engineering fields and is currently leading the Distributed Data Architectures research line at the i2CAT Foundation. He holds a PhD cum laude in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and has been involved in several H2020 / Horizon Europe projects (BigStorage, SoCaTel, BOOST 4.0, IoT-NGIN, CODECO, TEADAL), both as a researcher and a technical lead. His main areas of interest are NoSQL Databases, Knowledge Management and Semantic Technologies and Data Spaces.
