Dr. Kosmas Alexopoulos graduated from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of the University of Patras, Greece, in 1999, and received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the same university in 2006. Since 1998, he has worked at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation (LMS) as senior researcher and project manager, participating in over 40 European and national research projects. Since November 2024, he has served as Associate Professor at the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, University of Athens. His research focuses on smart manufacturing, digital transformation, digital twins, XR, industrial dataspaces, CPS, production scheduling, and AI.
