Hanifeh has a PhD in Bioengineering from Trinity College Dublin. She has in-depth experience in research policy for national and international research infrastructures and has been the co-chair of the European Open Science Cloud and the Swedish delegate in the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. In 2020, Hanifeh conducted a review of national infrastructures as an assignment for the Ministry of Research and Education in Sweden. Today, she is Vice President of Computer Science at RISE. The department has more than 100 researchers working on topics like AI, IoT, infrastructure and cybersecurity, including two test and demo-facilities: ICE datacenter and Cyber Range.
