Gefion Thuermer
Research Fellow at King’s College London
Dr Gefion Thuermer is a Research Fellow at King’s College London. She is the technical and scientific coordinator of IMPETUS, a Horizon Europe coordination and support action that provides resources, support and recognition for participatory research initiatives across Europe.
She holds a PhD in Web Science. Her research is interdisciplinary and focuses on the intersection of people, data and technology.
In the PHAWM project, Gefion investigated international AI policies and their effect on practice. In the ACTION project she developed a toolkit for citizen science, in MediaFutures and Data Pitch, she developed toolkits for data innovation and data sharing, respectively.
