Dr. Bernhard Peischl received a MS in telecommunications engineering (2001) and a Ph.D in computer science (2004) from the Graz University of Technology, Austria. He has more than 15 years of experience in software development and verification and validation of software-enabled systems. Bernhard has started his career at Siemens Program and System Development Graz and has been coordinator of an industrial competence network (managing the national R&D programs Softnet Austria and COMET Softnet Austria II). Among others, he was working with Kapsch Group in the telecommunications field and provided leadership for NTT DATA’s e-mobility solutions. He is currently innovation manager tasked with sourcing, setting up and managing national and European R&D programs within the AVL powertrain business unit. Bernhard is co-leading the European automotive group on big data at DAIRO/BDVA, is a member of the AI-experts group of the Aerospace and Defense Industry of Europe and has co-authored over 100 scientific articles on peer-reviewed workshops, conferences, scientific journals and books. Since 2007 he is a lecturer at the Graz University of Technology covering topics such as software technology, artificial intelligence and value-based software engineering.
