I studied Physics and, after some short experiences in other fields, started in the R&D department of Sidenor, special steel maker, the company and department I have been working for 25 years.  My personal evolution has been tightly connected to the company and sector the last years: at the beginning focused on classical process improvement and models in liquid steel process, to evolve towards the utilization of more prolific sensing options, data and their values, to combine nowadays those previous knowledges in order to research technologies and processes needed in the challenging steel decarbonization process. A great part of this work has been done in collaboration with many interesting partners’ in the rich EU research framework.
