Aitor Aguirre is a Research Professor at Mondragon University and a member of the Intelligent Systems for Industrial Systems Group. With a PhD in AI, he specializes in Trustworthy AI, focusing on SciML, Probabilistic AI, and Explainable AI (XAI).

His career spans national and European projects across the industrial and Fintech sectors. Beyond research, he teaches Master’s courses in Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, and Intelligent Energy Systems. Furthermore, he represents the university in BDVA and ETAMI task forces.
