EDIC (European Digital Infrastructure Consortia) and Data Spaces
A European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) is a legal entity, set up by a decision of the European Commission, upon initiative of at least three EU Member States. The purpose of an EDIC is to implement a Multi-Country Project (MCP) by pooling EU, national and private resources to achieve progress that no Member State could do on its own. MCPs and EDICs are outlined in the Digital Decade Policy Programme. One of the many possible missions for an MCP/EDIC is to implement common European data infrastructure and services. This session discusses perspectives, ideas and conditions for using EDIC as an instrument to deploy Common European Data Spaces.
