The Big Data Value Association-BDVA is an industry-driven organisation with a mission to develop an innovation ecosystem that enables the data-driven digital transformation of the economy and society in Europe. BDVA has over 240 members all over Europe and a well-balanced composition of large, small, and medium-sized industries, as well as research and user organisations. We focus on advancing areas such as big data technologies and services, data platforms and data spaces industrial AI, data-driven value creation, standardisation and skills. In the BDVA Task Forces, our members contribute to the European data and AI R&I agenda and develop guidelines and strategic roadmaps for industry and policymakers. Our events give opportunities to build collaborations and co-create projects. Through the BDVA community, the members gain higher visibility on the European level. Our services are designed to give timely updates on the latest developments in the fields of data and AI.

COSMOTE is a member of Telekom, one of the world’s leading telecommunications Groups. The COSMOTE mission is to bring technological capabilities to all, so that everyone can live and enjoy at the fullest all possibilities offered now, while also building on them for a better tomorrow.

IN COLLABORATION WITH

For over 30 years, we supply and manage the appropriate technology and resources to support the entrepreneurial spirit and profitable growth of medium and large sized companies and Government entities around the globe. In particular, we design, provide and enable novel, end to end IT solutions for all business functions, on time and on budget, both on premise and in the cloud, to help independent enterprises grow and compete. Our continued growth is based on relentless innovation, a rather diverse portfolio, our ability to anticipate and effectively respond to ever-changing customer requirements, and a broad ecosystem of partners. Throughout the last 3 decades, we have successfully delivered appropriately customized business IT solutions across at least 16 different industries in the US, the EU and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. During the same period, we have also participated in major R&D projects worldwide. We have also been extremely successful in exploring niche markets for our territory, and timely exit them when they became mature enough, to ripe benefits optimally. Leveraging on partnership with the right investors has proved a highly effective process throughout our evolution. Our business offerings include content management systems, enterprise resource planning solutions, financial planning and budget monitoring platforms, human capital management solutions, web site & mobile apps design and development, custom software engineering and business operations outsourcing services.

The Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) is the research division of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. ICCS was established in 1989 and has since been pioneering interdisciplinary research across a wide range of fields, including hardware and software technologies, computer networking, information systems and decision-making management, robotics and photonic technologies, among others. With a mission to promote basic and applied research, drive digitalization, and enhance innovation, ICCS is now recognized as one of the top three research institutions in Greece. Scientific research at the institute is structured around various interdisciplinary research groups and laboratories. ICCS is represented in BDVA by the Information Management Unit (IMU), whose focus is to support knowledge-driven organisations with trustworthy AI services and data-driven, secure and reliable computing infrastructures. IMU conducts research in machine learning and prescriptive data analytics; data and knowledge discovery, sharing and exchange; and personalization and recommender systems, and recently established a specialised group on human-centred trustworthy AI. IMU/ICCS is a member of ADRA, BDVA, CAIRNE, IDSA, and Gaia-X.

CORE Innovation Centre is a non-profit research organisation, a subsidiary of CORE Group, dedicated to fostering an innovative industrial ecosystem. We aim to provide individuals, industries and companies with opportunities to reach their true potential, to make industries smarter and greener, more sustainable and more socially inclusive. Industry 4.0 is where we choose to focus our research and innovation efforts. We deploy advances in a range of technologies i.e. IoT, big data, machine and deep learning, edge and cloud computing to maximise the potential of both people and entities in multiple sectors.

Founded in July 1961 as a Research Centre for Nuclear Research, Demokritos is today the largest multidisciplinary Research Centre of Greece with approximately 180 Researchers in tenured and tenure-track positions and over 500 Research Personnel working in projects funded mainly by grants from State Funds, the European Union and Private Industries.

The Centre consists of five independent Institutes focusing on different scientific fields. It is governed by the Board of Directors and is supervised by the General Secretariat of Research and Innovation, which is in the Ministry of Development.

The origins of IIT set from the beginning two distinct yet intertwined pillars of research activities that define the Institute: Artificial Intelligence and Telecommunication Networks.

With a long tradition of innovation in the field, the Intelligent Information Systems Division of the Institute focuses on basic and applied research on the multiple manifestations of Artificial Intelligence. Being a founding member of the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society since 1988, the Institute has continuous strong presence in the area. Moving from text-centric AI to multimodal, web and social media content analysis, the Institute has produced strong research outcomes in the field, in sync with its advancements and evolution. Acknowledging early the importance of data analysis, the Institute has also dedicated significant effort in the field of AI-based methods for big data management and processing. IIT is in the vanguard of research in big data infrastructures and semantics-aware AI at the European and international level. Furthermore, its interaction with other NCSR-D Institutes from different disciplines allows the application of such novel AI-based data driven methods to multiple application fields.

The Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) was founded in 1983. It is the largest research center in Greece with well-organized facilities, highly qualified personnel and a reputation as a top-level research institution worldwide.

FORTH reports to the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation of the Ministry of Development.

FORTH conducts specialized scientific research in strategic high-added value sectors, focusing on interdisciplinary research and development (R&D) activities in areas of major scientific, societal and economic interest, such as: Lasers and Photonics, Microelectronics, Advanced Materials / Nanotechnology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Precision Medicine, Systems Biology, Robotics, Telecommunications, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Chemical Engineering Sciences, Energy, Environment, Social Sciences & Humanities, Astrophysics and Astronomy.

FORTH comprises ten Research Institutes. Its headquarters and central administration are based in Heraklion, Crete.
